PHOTO EFFECTS

                     Shallow Depth of Field

A shallow depth of field photo consists of an object in the foreground, with another object in the background that is not very far from the front object. Also, the object in the background is usually out of focus, while the one in front is almost always in focus.

                         Deep Depth of Field

A deep depth of field photo consists of an object in the foreground, with the background extending into a vanishing point, so it looks like the background extends for a very long distance.

                         Fast Shutter Speed

A photo with a fast shutter speed is almost always used to capture a still moment out of some sort of action. The fast shutter speed exposes the film to light very quickly, therefore only the action taking place at the very split second is captured.

Slow Shutter Speed

A slow shutter speed is used to capture action that is happening over a period of time. Using a slow shutter speed will expose the film to a lot of light, therefore blurring the action that is happening for a period of time.

                 Film Grain

Film grain is an effect used nowadays, to make photos look old. Grain is where there is the texture of what looks like a burlap bag.

                  Digital Noise

Digital noise is an effect that has a texture that looks like enlarged versions of the pixels on a television.
